That moment

Throughout the pregnancy, 

Jake and I would talk about that moment

when we would bring our baby home

from the hospital.

We'd walk in the door,

set the carrier down,

then look at each other and say,

"Now what?"

Well, that's pretty much what happened.

We watched him sleep for a while...

Then took pictures of him sleeping...

Then we tip-toed around the house

quietly so we wouldn't wake him.

It wasn't long before Grandma Carol arrived

from Utah, so we lifted him out of the carseat

and life at home officially began.
